Code check for Saudi Arabia
Status: not available yet. sazeh does not check a building against the codes of Saudi Arabia today. It applies one other national set of codes, so a model checked here is not checked against SBC 301, SBC 304 and SBC 306 (2018). This page exists so that engineers working in Saudi Arabia can ask for them: a country is added when enough of them do.
The codes that govern
| Subject | Code |
|---|---|
| Structural loads and seismic design | SBC 301 (2018) |
| Concrete structures | SBC 304 (2018) |
| Steel structures | SBC 306 (2018) |
The Saudi Building Code is published by the Saudi Building Code National Committee.
What a check would cover
- The seismic hazard of the site, taken from a table of cities, with the site class.
- Seismic loading and the story drift limit under SBC 301.
- Beams, columns and joints under SBC 304, and steel members under SBC 306.
- A calculation sheet in English, with Arabic to follow if engineers ask for it.
Before this country can be added
The code text has to be in hand, edition by edition, because every number on a sheet must be traceable to a table. Rows that have not been compared with the printed text are marked as such, in the same way as the rows of the codes that are applied today.
What sazeh does today
It analyses an ETABS model from its .e2k file and checks every member, joint and storey against one national set of codes, then returns a calculation sheet and a corrected model. The ETABS model check tool page says what is read and what is checked, and the limitations page says what is not verified.

Request the codes of Saudi Arabia
Tell us where to write. We do not add a country until engineers ask for it, and we write only about this request.
Upload your ETABS .e2k model and get the calculation sheet.
